The preparation of the part is one of the most important stages of the process. Before applying the coating the raw material must be cleaned thoroughly of every pollutant that could be found (grease, oil, dirt, dust, turnings etc.) on the surface of the metal part.
The first step of the preparation includes the removal of all mechanical unevennesses, turnings and rust. Grinding, shot peening, shot blasting, sandblasting and other methods that could prepare the surface for the following cleanings are all appropriate methods to use.
After the initial surface preparation the parts are ready for the next stages, beginning with Degreasing.
